Playdabba Video Player & Vault

Playdabba plays video files that are already on your device, and links you paste in yourself. It has no catalogue, no search, no recommendations and no downloader. It never fetches media you did not ask for.
Your videos and photos stay on your device. They are never uploaded anywhere, and nobody at Vidya Software Limited can see them.

The Google Mobile Ads SDK collects and shares the advertising data described above. Its transmissions use TLS encryption. See Google's privacy policy and Google's Mobile Ads data disclosure. The current release does not include AppLovin as an advertising partner.
Playdabba does not send the names, paths or contents of your local media or vault to advertising or analytics services. Advertising SDK interaction data is separate from your local media files.
Playdabba uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the app is used, Firebase Crashlytics to find and fix crashes, and Firebase Remote Config to adjust settings such as how often ads appear. Google processes this data for us as our service provider. Analytics events carry categories and ranges only: never a file name, folder name, link or anything from the vault. The app has no accounts, so none of this is linked to your name or email address.
Google Analytics keeps event-level data for up to 14 months. We also export raw analytics events to a Google Cloud (BigQuery) project that Vidya Software Limited controls, where they are used only to measure, in aggregate, how many people keep using the app; that copy is also kept for up to 14 months.
Your choice. Where the law asks for your consent first, such as in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, analytics collects nothing until you have answered the privacy prompt, and only if you agree to information being stored on and read from your device. The advertising signals Analytics may use follow the choices you made for Google in the same prompt. You can change your answer at any time from Settings → Privacy options. If you are shown a privacy choice under a US state's privacy law, analytics data is not used to personalise ads. Elsewhere, analytics is on.
Crash reports are collected in every region. They contain technical details about the crash and the device, and are how we keep the app working.
The free version can show ads supplied by Google AdMob. The app uses Google's User Messaging Platform to present regional privacy choices. When available for your region, you can review these choices from Settings → Privacy options. You can also reset or delete your Advertising ID in your Android settings. Local video playback remains available when an ad cannot be loaded.
If Google Play offers it in your region, an optional subscription removes every ad in the app. It unlocks no content: Playdabba only ever plays what is already on your device or a link you open yourself.

Playdabba does not request all-files access, device location permission, your camera, your microphone, your contacts, or the list of apps on your device. AdMob and Firebase can infer an approximate location from your IP address without location permission.
Playdabba is intended for adults aged 18 and over and is not directed at children. This intended audience is separate from the content rating shown on Google Play.
Everything the app stores about your videos lives on your device and is deleted when you uninstall it. Uninstalling also discards the identifiers the app created for analytics and crash reporting. For privacy or deletion requests, email [email protected]. Do not send us your videos, photos or vault PIN. Data processed by Google is also subject to Google's privacy controls and retention policies; use your Google account and Android ad settings to manage that data. If you have a subscription, uninstalling Playdabba does not cancel it; manage subscriptions in Google Play.
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes and the new version appears at this address before the change reaches the app.
